travel north america united states colorado mesa verde national park around the park

Mesa Verde National Park covers a relatively large area and many of the sights are distant from others.
Major sites have parking lots from which you must walk or take a tram to the various points of interest.
While many of the cliff dwellings are easy to spot, some of the smaller unmarked ones are harder to find.
For me, finding the small unmarked cave dwellings is a great part of the experience.
